I’m Harriet. I created Rebalance Reflexology and Wellness after gaining a Distinction in the Level 3 Diploma Course in Clinical Reflexology, training with Sarah-Jane Holt, of the Devon School of Clinical Reflexology. www.devonschoolofclinicalreflexology.com

I am fully qualified and insured and I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) Association of Reflexologists Home – AoR

Before coming to Reflexology I worked in Recruitment and HR Management for twenty years.  I have always enjoyed working with people but I wanted to find a way of supporting people in a more holistic and health focused way.

I became interested in Reflexology after seeking treatments during my own health journey.  I found that physically and emotionally, reflexology helped to support and balance me, enabling me to manage symptoms and my approach to my health.

I am incredibly passionate about Reflexology and am committed to on going professional development and being able to share this with my clients.

I’m really looking forward to meeting you and supporting you with your own health journey by relaxing and grounding through Reflexology.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology can be traced back 5,000 years to Ancient India and Egypt where it was practised for health benefits and pain relief.  It has become popular in the Western world over the last century and Reflexology is now recognised by the NHS.

Reflexology is a non-intrusive complimentary therapy based on the theory that the feet hold a micro map of the entire body, there are reflexes in the feet that relate to each organ and every part of the body.  Stimulating these reflexes through pressure or massage activates the body’s ability to heal itself.

When you are unwell or perhaps stressed, lacking in sleep, have experienced an injury or are living with a disease, your body can find itself out of balance. There can be congestion in your body and your energy may not be able to flow freely which can prevent your body from functioning effectively.  Reflexology can work these reflex points and areas of congestion, allowing energy to flow more easily, re-balancing your whole body and improving your overall wellbeing.

Reflexology can improve your circulation which will increase the flow of oxygen and nutrients throughout your body and help with the removal of waste products. It can improve your lymphatic circulation, removing the build up of toxins in your body.  It can increase your neurological impulses to and from the brain and rebalance your endocrine system.

Reflexology gives you a moment to yourself to rest and relax.  Clients report benefits such as improved sleep, being able to cope with stress, a release of emotional and mental stress as well as physical benefits such as improved digestion and less aches and pains.

Hot and Cold Stone Reflexology

I was trained by Katy Wayne of Jubilee College www.jubileecollege.com in 2025 who provides the only Association of Reflexologists approved Hot and Cold Stone Reflexology course.

The use of Stones in Reflexology can help to cleanse the body, relax the heart, ground the soul and sooth the mind.

The energy of the hot basalt stones which are from volcanic riverbeds allow me to work up to 5 times deeper into your reflexes.  As it penetrates deeper it results in a longer lasting effect. Hot stones have been shown to lower cortisol levels and help to support the parasympathetic nervous system to help the body reverse the “fight or flight” stress reaction.

A combination of hot and cold stones can promote calmness and deep relaxation. The cold stones which are marble gently awake the immune system, help to draw out excess inflammation, reduce puffiness and stimulate lymphatic flow, encouraging the body to release metabolic waste and reset its natural detox pathways.

Reflexology for children and young people

Reflexology can be beneficial to people of all ages.  I have worked with children and young people to help support symptoms of ADHD, painful and irregular menstrual cycles and mental and emotional health.  Hormones and stressors such as exams can be difficult to navigate and reflexology can help support our children and young people through these.  Sessions for minors are shorter as a whole hour can feel too much or they may worry about being still for that long.  Any minor under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 for my insurance purposes.

Cancellation policy

If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment with me, please give at least 24 hours notice.  This means I can then contact other clients who are on my waiting list for a treatment.

Cancellations at very short notice or “no shows” will incur a 50% charge.

Of course, sometimes life is completely out of our control and a cancellation charge may not be appropriate so just get in touch with me and let me know.

Do let me know if you’re running late for your appointment (and are able to do so safely).  If you are late, the treatment may still end at the scheduled time, depending on any subsequent bookings that day and you will still be charged for the full treatment time.

If I have to cancel or rearrange your appointment I will provide at lest 24 hours notice where possible.

Please do not come to your appointment if you have a heavy cold or COVID or flu symptoms. Rest and re-schedule.
